18 weeks!

I'm 18 weeks (and 2 days)!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 18 Weeks

Size of baby: Lawson is the size of a sweet potato, about half a pound. All of his measurements are in the 50th percentile and right on track!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gained 3 pounds

Maternity Clothes: My regular pants don't fit, but I only have two pair of maternity (and I don't really care for them), so I have mostly been wearing dresses. I plan to pull out the Belly Band again this week too! Shirts are a mixture. Normal shirts fit, but I look fat, not pregnant, ha!

Gender: It's a BOY! Lawson Ryan Payne :)

Movement: Baby is moving a LOT, but nothing I can REALLY feel yet!

Sleep: I sleep pretty good from about 11-5. I wake up every day at 5 to use the bathroom, and it's a toss up on whether or not I am able to go back to sleep or not!
What I miss: Sushi!
Cravings: Nothing really this week...
Symptoms: Sciatic pain, back pain, growing belly, headaches

Best Moment this week: Seeing Lawson again on Friday, having the anatomy scan and finding out that everything looks GREAT, and of course revealing the gender to our family and friends. :)

Gender Reveal

Saturday we had our gender reveal with our family and friends. It was really fun, and I love that (almost) everyone we love was able to be with us at the same time when we told them.

We are thrilled to be having a boy and can't wait for this little one to get here!! :)

Dakota's Big Girl Room

Name and butterflies I painted for her.

*Funny story about these. Her first night in her new room, she apparently thought these were pretty cool. After we had gone to bed, she came to get me and said one of her butterflies was behind her bed. I went in there thinking that I didn't put them up well enough or something, but I thought they were hung up pretty good so I didn't know how it had fallen. Well...Dakota decided to play with them. She had taken all of the letters off and thinking she would get in trouble, tried to put them back up before coming to get me, ha! One of the A's was upside down, the T was sideways, and they were NOT in order at all! Oh my goodness it was so funny, I wish I had thought to take a picture. It was an easy fix, and now she knows not to touch them, ha! :)

Windows...please ignore the random TV on the floor. We hadn't moved it out yet. :)

17 Weeks!

How Far Along: 17 Weeks

Size of baby: Baby Payne is the size of an onion

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gained 3 pounds

Maternity Clothes: It's split...yesterday my regular jeans didn't fit, but today the same pair fit and can button nicely. I think it depends on the bloat. :) I have been wearing lots of dresses lately, but for the most part I am very proud of myself that I'm almost half way through and can still wear my regular clothes. I am mostly all belly (no gain anywhere else on my body). Tops are either maternity or flowy/bigger regular tops. I can still fit all the other ones, but I just look fat, not pregnant, so I am not going there!

Gender: We found out this morning! I can't wait to share with everyone next weekend!

Movement: Baby is moving a LOT (as we saw on the sonogram today), but nothing I can REALLY feel yet!

Sleep: I sleep pretty good from about 11-5. I wake up every day at 5 to use the bathroom, and it's a toss up on whether or not I am able to go back to sleep or not!

Symptoms: Sciatic pain, back pain, growing belly

Best Moment this week: Seeing our little one moving all around and waving, and putting it's arms and hands by it's face. It's so sweet and surreal that it is turning into a real person in there! And of course, finding out the gender! D got to go with us and it was just so special and perfect. She loved seeing the baby on "camera" and the sono tech let us see the baby in 3D too since D was there. Our "official" anatomy scan is Friday (this one was elective), so we are still cautiously optimistic that everything is great, but things looked good today!

Names

Well...we find out SATURDAY what the little sweet pea is! We are both excited! We won't be sharing with the world until after April 23rd, which is when we will tell our families.

In the mean time, vote on our Baby Names to tide you over, ha! :)

16 weeks!

*I skipped week 15 because my mom and I went to Canton and I was exhausted when we got home. Truthfully, I am exhausted today too from a super productive but tiring weekend, but I didn't want to skip two weeks in a row. :)

I'm 16 weeks (and 2 days)! Technically, my weeks change on Fridays, but I am beat from the week then and Sundays are kind of relaxing so it's easier to blog on those days. :)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gained 2 pounds

Maternity Clothes: Back into all regular pants with maternity shirts (not bloated at all anymore!)

Gender: Can't wait to find out- we can find out the 16th! The Chinese Gender calendar says it's a boy...

Movement: None since the one kick two weeks ago
